What’s In My Tool Kit?
Classical Acupuncture
This powerful system of Chinese medicine, can help dig up the roots of whatever problems you are dealing with and catalyze transformative change on all levels.
This is the backbone of my practice, as this approach is uniquely suited to treating a wide spectrum of conditions: digestive disorders, endocrine, pain (chronic or acute), autoimmune conditions and emotional imbalance.

Chinese Medicinal Aromatherapy
Essential oils are such a powerful way to connect with the unconscious, and they are digested directly into the body through contact with the dermis layer of the skin.
During my acupuncture and massage treatments, I blend essential oils to increase the power of my treatments.
I design individualized aromatherapy blends to treat scars, skin conditions such as shingles and dermatitis, and to promote emotional balance and digestion.
I also offer needle-free “acupuncture” utilizing specific essential oils on acupuncture points.
Massage & NER
I’ve been a massage therapist since 2000—when I graduated from a 1,000 hour program in massage and hydrotherapy. I combine traditional massage with tuina, shiatsu, craniosacral work and NER.
I am certified in NER—or Neuro-Energetic Release, a modality that seeks to re-align the body by releasing the muscles that pull us out of alignment.
I am also a Reiki Master—my gift as a bodyworker is in moving energy with my hands. I use my hands as a diagnostic tool like a flashlight to shine light on the problem.
Visionary Craniosacral Work
My particular specialty is working with the Temporo-mandibular Joint (TMJ). TMJ Dysfunction is a very common problem, and there are few people who are trained to work on the specialized anatomy of the jaw.
Craniosacral work accesses the bones of the skull, the cerebral spinal fluid, the spinal cord and spine. This modality is excellent for physical trauma—such as concussive disorders, but also for emotional trauma—helping to “unwind it” from the body.
We will work with the structure—and at the same time, the energy field holding this system together. What energy is a tight jaw holding? Is there rage that might stuck? Is the energy freely circulating between your heart and your throat chakras—are you able to speak from the heart?
Gua-Sha
Gua-Sha is also known as scraping. It is a method for releasing so-called pathogenic wind from the body. Gua-sha is a great technique for colds and headaches, and for pain in many locations. I frequently use Gua-sha on the upper back, neck and anywhere there is pain and stiffness.
Gua Sha is wonderful for moving stagnant blood, which often an underlying cause of pain. When blood does not move freely, it builds up and become stagnant. Gua sha quickens the blood and helps to release the muscle layer.
Gua sha is also used for beauty purposes. I have specialized training in Jade Gua Sha facial rejuvenation. This technique uses a patented jade Gua-Sha tool which, when used appropriately, can boost collagen production.
Fire Cupping
Cupping is a powerful modality for pain relief. Classically, cupping is said to remove cold from the body. The skin often feels cold to the touch after cupping. By cupping we can pull out stagnant blood from the bellies of the muscles and get things moving.
Sometimes if things have been stuck for a very long time, the blood becomes stagnant—it doesn’t flow very well—this causes pain. Cupping stimulates the circulation of blood and pulls the “sludge” out.
The marks left from cupping can be seen as stagnant blood inside the muscle layer that is coming up to the surface.

It starts with a conversation…
First we will sit and talk
you’ll tell me what is troubling you.
I’ll listen, ask questions
take your pulses and look at your tongue.
I will formulate a Chinese medical diagnosis and a treatment strategy.

Reasons clients come to see me.
I’m Good with Pain
I’ve been treating pain for almost 25 years—I know my anatomy really well, and I have a lot of experience treating injuries—whether they are acute or chronic. It’s important to work on acute injuries to prevent them from becoming chronic—this is a skill I have—treating recent sprains and injuries—but I also love the magic of watching chronic pain vanish. I have particular skill with TMJ, but I love working with all of the aching wrists, shoulders, knees and backs too.
Autoimmune Conditions
When the body starts attacking itself and breaking itself down, it is important to ask why. When you have an autoimmune condition, you are viewing yourself as a enemy and you’re attacking. The Divergent Channels are one of the acupuncture channel systems that deal with this kind of epigenetic change at a cellular level. In fact the recent news that MS is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus confirms the exact line of thought that Classical Acupuncture would use to treat MS.
I’m Good with the Gut
I follow the wisdom of a Chinese medical clinician by the name of Li Dong Yuan; he believed that a healthy digestive system was critical to the success of any other treatments. I use time-tested classical Chinese medical treatments with acupuncture, herbs and essential oils to heal the gut and optimize digestion. There are several factors to consider—the emotions play a huge factor in digestion. I’m good at harmonizing the emotions in order to optimize digestion.
Emotional Balannce
There are acupuncture points that resonate with the emotions. I have specialized treatments that are rooted in Daoist Chinese medicine. You can vent emotions that might be stuck. Maybe there is some anger stuck in your hip—and it’s part of the hip pain. Classical acupuncture is particularly powerful in treating anxiety, depression, sadness and grief. Emotions aren’t good or bad—but if we dwell in an emotion for too long, it can deplete us and tire us out. Acupuncture can help balance the emotions.
